Protective coatings for paint — ceramic, graphene, elastomer

The paint becomes easier to wash, more resistant to road chemicals and keeps a deep gloss for seasons to come. We achieve this with a professionally applied protective coating — chosen to suit the car and the way it is used.

The problem we solve

Unprotected paint takes road chemicals, UV radiation, bird droppings and salt every single day. Dirt clings ever harder, washing takes longer, and the colour gradually loses its depth.

Wax protects for a few weeks — then the cycle starts again.

What you get

Water and dirt stop clinging to the paint — the car washes faster and needs strong chemicals less often. The coating protects against chemical agents and UV and deepens the colour. It can be complemented by a coating on the glass (better visibility in the rain) and the wheels (brake dust comes off without scrubbing).

Who this service is for

  • Cars driven daily, and owners who value easy upkeep
  • Paint after correction — so the result works for years
  • New cars from the dealership (see the separate new car protection service)
  • Garaged cars and touring cars — the product matched to how you drive

What the service includes

  • A detailing wash with full paint decontamination
  • Inspection — if the paint needs correction, we say so before application (a coating would lock the scratches in)
  • Degreasing and surface preparation for application
  • Application of the coating: ceramic, graphene or elastomer — as selected
  • Optionally: protection for the glass and wheels
  • Curing time for the coating and handover of aftercare guidance

Coatings are quoted as an add-on to paint preparation — we give the total amount and schedule in the estimate. The application itself adds 1–2 days on top of preparation: a detailing wash 1 day, a paint refresh 1–2 days, correction 2–3 days (single-stage) or 3–6 days (multi-stage). The simplest route is a ready-made package. The full range of packages is in the detailing studio.

What affects the price

  • The size of the car and the condition of the paint (any correction before application)
  • The class and type of product chosen
  • Scope: the body alone or the glass and wheels as well
  • The number of coating layers

We give the exact amount after seeing photos or the car itself — with no obligation.

You now know the scope and the price range

Send 3–4 photos of the car and tell us how often you drive it and where you park. We will match the protection to the paint and the way you use the car, not to a price list.

Step by step

  1. 1
Paint preparation — washing, decontamination and degreasing — the durability of the coating depends on it
  2. 2
Product selection — ceramic, graphene or elastomer — depending on the car, your expectations and budget
  3. 3
Application — panel by panel, checking evenness under proper lighting
  4. 4
Curing and collection — the coating cures under controlled conditions; you get aftercare guidance at collection

When this is not the best choice

If you expect protection against stone chips and car-park scratches, no coating will provide it — that is the job of PPF film. And if the paint has visible scratches and holograms, what you need first is correction — a coating would preserve the current state, defects included.

Coating or wax?

Wax is cheaper and gives a pleasant, warm gloss — but for weeks, not seasons. A coating bonds with the paint far more durably: resistance to chemicals and detergents is incomparably higher, and the hydrophobic effect lasts for seasons with proper care. If the car is to be protected “for good”, choose a coating; keep wax for quick refreshes.

Frequently asked questions

Ceramic or graphene — which is better?

They are products for the same class of task. Graphene coatings usually cope better with high temperatures and reduce water spotting; classic ceramic has the longest proven track record. We match the product to the car and its use, not to fashion.

When can I wash the car after application?

For the first few days the coating is reaching full hardness — during that time the car should not be washed. The exact period depends on the product; you get precise guidance at collection.

Will a coating protect the paint from stones?

No. Coatings protect chemically (detergents, UV, droppings, salt), not mechanically. PPF film protects against stone chips — the two are often combined.

Can a coating be applied to older paint?

Yes — after proper preparation. It is usually worth doing at least a light correction first, so existing scratches are not sealed under the coating.
